Just a little comparison to '07:

2008 after 51 games:

Huge 12 inning win tonight. Rasner better pitch at least 7 tomorrow though as the bullpen was used a lot
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.
Ah, give me something clever to say here.
It shouldn't have been that difficult after we went up 6-3 but Wang just didn't like prosperity last night. I am worried about Wang. The good news is the pen was great(outside of the HR to tie it) and we battled out a gritty win on the road. I feel pretty good about this team.
Awful loss last night, blowing multiple leads. It would have been nice to take 3 of 4 and we should have but we didn't.
Talk about who should have one and lost, Twins had chances in the first two games as well. We get runners on third base and cant score. I know how it feels to lose when one fly ball to the outfield would get you the win. Tied series is good for both clubs. Except the fact that your under .500 and getting further away from first. Just my thoughts.

It shouldn't have been that difficult beating KC, How our offense scores a total of 3 runs in the 2 losses to KC is mind boggling. The Yanks had a real chance to win 3 or 4 and being to get things going and they blew it.
Definitely.
We cut Morgan Ensberg.

NEXT STEP: Ian Kennedy threw batting practice in Tampa yesterday and is slated to make his first rehab start on Monday for the Gulf Coast League Yankees.
Kennedy, who has been out since May 28 with bursitis under his right shoulder, will throw three innings or 50 pitches. Girardi said Kennedy would have to make several rehab starts before he is ready to return, taking him out of the mix for Friday's doubleheader against the Mets.
Johnny Damon, Joe Girardi tip their caps to pitcher Curt Schilling
perforatededge54 (NY): Are the Yankees and Brian Cashman becoming TOO concerned with not trading their prospects, to the point where its hurting the team?
Christina Kahrl: No, Hank, they're doing their jobs.
Great game last night, now let's sweep this 2 game series. There should be some runs scored today w/ Ponson vs. Edwin Jackson although he shut us down last time we faced him we did batter him the time before that.
Great job by Ponson and the pen, 1 run to the Rays in 19 innings is a damn good job by the pitchers.Hopefully we can win 3 of these next 4 heading into the break and we'll be in good shape to start the 2nd half.
An awful job by the Yankee bats AGAIN in losing to Pitt. it sucks that the rainout affecte dus so much and it's the 2nd time that's happened. The first being the Mets rainout which forced that DH and then the Pitt rainout where we were leading 2 or 3-0. I hope those 2 games do not cost us down the road.
