    Tim Lincecum?

Tim Lincecum the rookie sensation is on the block for a power bat. If the Yankees can pull this off, then the young pitching would be that much more better. Think they would take Matsui or Damon if Yankees paid some of the salary? Just think how sweet this would be, Hughes, Chamberlin, Lincecum, Kennedy? Damn....

According to Tracy Ringolsby, the Giants have "let it be known that Tim Lincecum, their No. 1 pick in 2006, can be had for a quality bat."
Maybe he has Lincecum confused with Noah Lowry. It wouldn't be his sloppiest writing in the column. Ringolsby leads off his article with: "After giving up three of its top five pitching prospects in July of 2006 to acquire Livan Hernandez from Arizona ... Arizona finds itself searching for rotation help." Ignoring the obvious gaffe that they made the trade with themselves, the Diamondbacks actually gave up only two prospects and the deal was done in August. But other than that, he's nearly spot on. OK, back to Lincecum. He simply cannot be had for a quality bat. Maybe he'll be available in return for an exceptional bat. The only player we can think of that qualifies and might be available is Miguel Cabrera.

It's obvious you don't read thoroughly the news items before you post them.

The Yankees do not have the kind of bat in their system right now to get a guy like Lincecum.

Yes actually I did read that but I can only see the Yankees trading Matsui or Damon away. So yes I did read thoroughly through it. And its just another rumor that probably won't ever happen because the Yankees don't have what the Giants want.

If you were the Giants, would you take Damon or Matsui?

Why quit why'll we're ahead...trade the ghost of Babe Ruth for Johan Santana, Joe Nathan, and Nick Punto.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

that would be an impressive young rotation, and with their offense, they can be comforatble making mistakes while having on the job training.

The Yankees have nothing the Giants want when it comes to Lincecum. Dumb question!
