Yanks vs. Toronto 9/29-10/1

The final regular season series has the Jays coming to Yankee Stadium. The only thing to watch for is can we hold off Det/Minny for homefiled? I don't think it's a huge deal if we don't b/c if we mwt up w/ them in the LCS the travel isn't far, it would have been a big deal if Oak got it and we had to fly to the West Coast. Jeter and Cano are going to fall short of the abtting title barring an incredible 3 games w/ Mauer having a couple of bad games.

The pitching matchups are:

Chacin vs. Mussina Tonight
Marcum vs. Karstens Tomorrow
McGowan vs. Wright on Sunday

Good deal. Mussina looked great after that moon shot from Glaus. 2 hits through 6. Detroit & Minny both gagged last night giving us a 2 game advantage with only 2 left.

The Yanks blew 3-0 and 4-1 lead to fall 6-5 to toronto last night. We still don't know who we'll play on Tuesday but it will be decided today. Either a Det win or a Minny loss and we play minny or if det loses and minny wins we play detroit. Jeter was 3 for 3 raising his average to .345, Mauer did not play and is at .346 so the batting title is still very much up for grabs(Cano is at .341 and out of it).
