Here he comes to save the day, joek is here to save the day. Don't worry YANKEE fans, the pennant is ours. The glass is half full and the pinstripe eighteen wheeler will turn around and head in the right direction. Arod is killing us, but we will overcome him.Originally Posted by Saber

JOEK IS BACK
Welcome!
Hey Steak, I lived in Morristown, NJ for 15 years before coming to NC.
For the Derby today, Bellamy Road and Afleet Alex in the exacta both ways.
joek: Morristown is a very expensive area yet it's a nice place to live.
A big welcome again. I wouldn't bash on ARod, he is putting up some decent numbers and being a catalyst in most of our wins. Jeter had a horrible week.
The cancer on this team is Giambi.

True that ARod has had much different numbers in wins than our losses but...wouldn't that define that he was a part of our wins? He single handedly beat Colon and the Angels.
Personally, I am not too thrilled with Matsui hitting cleanup and ARod 5th.
That is my point. Three HRs and ten RBIs are just padding stats. Helping the team win a game is the point. He gets my credit for being the key player for winning that games. However the excess Hrs and RBIs become a waste and only makes the player look great in the eyes of loser stat geeks. I would take just one of those RBIs when he failed to deliver the runner from third with less than two outs in one of the major key point in the bosux playoffs last year. He's no Brosius.
Well, I am not going to knock Scotty. It was a big thrill for me to meet him and shake his hand...a "World Series MVP". A humble guy when I put it out to him like that.
We will continue the ARod talk at a later time.
Don't get me wrong. I root for him. He will produce numbers, but as demonstrated so far, many useless, stat padding numbers. Let me know the next time he wins a game in the eight or ninth inning.
