    Pavano ready by May?

Carl Pavano threw Wednesday for the first time since being shut down with a bruised left buttocks last week.
Pavano played catch for 10 minutes. "It definitely feels better," he said. Pavano's setback may have ruined his chances of pitching for the Yankees on April 29, but if he's fine now, he should be back in early May.

Seriously, what's happening with him. A bruised left buttocks? Until May?

He better be ready to return in a month, by then most of the Yankees pitching staff will have been entered into a local nursing home
"They asked me if I wanted the ball in Game 6, and I said yes. I'll always say yes. That's what I did with Jack McKeon. I told him, 'Let me see how I feel tomorrow.' I went out, did a long toss, came in and said, 'I'll pitch, I want it, I want to do it.' And it ended up working out." -Josh Beckett
