    in one (of the 3) threads you make it out like the Padres were doing good by acquiring Cameron for a 27 year old guy who's still yet to prove anything, then in here you critisize the Padres for taking on the payroll.

    The crack was because of the double standard

    I thought it was funny that the Pads would do that for the Mets. Why give a team that can afford so much a break? Nady costs nothing so at least the pads could do is ask for the Pads to eat some of that money. Giving another NL team a break is silly, that's all. **** it and drink up

    actually, reefer is correct. The padres took on all the payroll. I'm actually a bit peeved about that aspect of it.
