This doesn't make much sense to me. Why would the Mets trade top prospects when they can either get Krod, Fuentes or Hoffman?SI.com's Jon Heyman says the White Sox are listening to offers for Bobby Jenks, and the Mets will attempt to trade for the 27-year-old closer.
The price would have to be extremely high. Jenks has been an elite closer the last two seasons, and he's still three years away from free agency. The White Sox would probably need Fernando Martinez in return to consider dealing Jenks to the Mets.
