    Mets Final Vote: David Wright

David Wright, Mets Third Basemen is hitting .288, 16 HR, 66 RBI, good for 5th best in the league in RBI, 16th in the league in HR(in a hitter's park), and a very solid average all after a horrendous start. Those numbers are better than Rowand, Hart, Burrell. And even Carlos Lee is pretty much just as good. But I am calling on all Mets fans to vote for Mr. Wright to the ASG, because he truly does deserve it.

    Those aren't better than Burrell's.

    Wright: .288, 16 HR, 66 RBI, 9 SB

    Burrell: .279, 21 HR, 53 RBI, 0 SB

I'd take the better average and more RBI and SB over a couple extra HR

Burrell is 4th in OPS in the NL. Everyone in the top 9 in OPS is in the All Star game.

Burrell has a better OBP and Slugging.

Yeah, his is better, but guys with significantly lower OPS have gotten in too. Aramis Ramirez got in over Wright, which is stupid. So, OPS is just one more stat. Based on that, plus Burrell's mediocre fielding and his high K rate, I would still take Wright

Haha, I'm actually a heterosexual. But I would certainly let my girlfriend have his kids, (kidding) lol.

    What girlfriend?

    Burrell should be in already.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

I know, but he didn't get it from the vote. Glad to see he still made it though. He definitely deserves it.

Agreed. He shouldn't be "just an injury replacement". His numbers are way better than that. In fact, Reyes' numbers are good enough to be there too. For a leadoff hitter: .302 BA, 10 HR, 43 RBI, 10 3B, 23 2B, 119 H, 68 R, 32 SB, .367 OBP, .487 SLG, .854 OPS
