Slowey is pitching pretty well today. The game is delayed in the 7th inning, so if the delay goes too long, he'll be pulled from the game. Wieters was hitting and had a 3-1 count (all 4 pitches could have been called strikes) and the bats have been pretty hot today. Kubel hit a grand slam in the 3rd and Young and Thome hit solo shots on consectutive pitches in the 6th. Twins are up 9-1.

    Yesssssss.

Twins win 10-4, taking the series 3 games to 1, and winning the season series 5-3. Each Twins starter had a hit, Kubel slammed, Delmonster and Thome went back to back, even Repko had his first homer since WW2. Slowey pitched great, too bad the rain came other wise he probably could have gone the distance. Oh, and Blackburn stunk it up coming out of the pen.

Not sure Slowey would have gone the distance, but he certainly had enough left to go another inning. Blackburn did not impress me with his 2nd inning of work. The first inning looked promising, though.
