Tonight, Slowey goes against Mike Pelfrey.
Tomorrow, Pavano takes on Johan.
Sunday, its Baker v. Jonathan Niese.
As well as the Mets have been playing lately, this will be a tough series.

Don't let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game.
The Twins continue their poor situational hitting tonight. They had runners at 1st and 3rd with no one out and Mauer at the plate. Mauer struck out, followed by Morneau grounding sharply to Reyes, who turned the DP.

Carl Pavano vs. Johan Santana today. A must-see as Santana duels his former team for the first time.
Santana gives up 4 runs in the first and the Twins never look back. Pavano throws a CG 3 hit shutout, and goes 2-3 at the plate. Twins end their short losing streak.

Pavano has pitched well in his last couple of starts. Nice to see him doing well. Twins needed the win today and it's always nice to beat up your old ace!

Much better job of hitting with RISP today. The Twins' broadcasters made a point of saying that Johan's fastball/change-up differential was down, meaning that you can sit on the change-up and hit the fastball to the opposite field.
Pavano seemed to have the game under control from the first pitch. Going out in the first with a 4 run lead allowed him to relax and throw strikes. 75 of his 110 pitches were strikes.

Baker gave up 3 homers today and the Twins weren't able to score on Niese. 6-0 Mets.
