He must be waiting for the Matt Holliday super contract offer from... the ... what? Royals? Nationals?
Free-agent pitcher Jarrod Washburn has turned down a one-year contract worth $5 million from the Minnesota Twins, two sources confirmed Monday.
Washburn was 8-6 with a 2.64 ERA with the Seattle Mariners last year, then was traded to the Detroit Tigers. He went 1-3 with a 7.33 ERA with Detroit, but the inflated numbers had mostly to do with the left-hander pitching with a knee injury.
Washburn is expected to be healthy for spring training.
