I would welcome him signing this extension. I have no problem with his management style, although some feel he doesn't motivate the team as well as he could. Good managers are hard to find and there aren't many available that would be a better fit for the Twins.

Gardy is one of the best managers in baseball, I would say top 5. Look at what he has accomplished and the payroll he has to work with. He does a great job with the role players and where to utilize them. I wish he wouldn't sign so maybe the Giants could snag him but he's a great fit for Minnesota and they would be fools not to re-sign him.

He signed a 2 year contract extension keeping him with the Twins through the 2011 season.
