Carlos Gomez left the game due to some sort of hamstring injury. I'm not watching the game, I just saw a thing on the web. Someone help me out here.
He hit his first homer of the year last night, and stole his 10th base of the year tonight.

***UPDATE***
Strained left calf trying to beat out a bunt. He's listed as day-to-day.

Hopefully, it'll be just a strain. He is a kid the Twins need to be careful with.

Maybe a break could do him some good.
A few days to let him slow down and gather himself might do him some good.

sometimes these minor injures are a blessing in disguise. Just as you said, if he is going to be a vital player for the Twins, it is early enough in the season that he can take a break and refocus. Hope he returns soon for you Twins fans. I dont like to see any player get hurt. Injuries stink!!!
They sure do.
<-- Dislocated pinky (glove hand) junior year.....Strained muscle under shoulder blade (pitching shoulder) senior year.....played through both. As well as getting spiked like a fool at 2B more than a few times a year.
Ahh good times.

I tried to play with a torn ACL for a few years and found it to be a bad idea. I had been a CF prior to then and moved to 1B. It didn't help my hitting, however.

Gomez hurt again.....while stealing 2nd he took Pudge's throw right in the melon, then slid into the 2nd baseman's knee. He was doing really well tonight too. Hopefully it's nothing major.

It says left calf strain on the official report. Is that correct?

He left the game on Friday because he took Pudge's throw right in his dome. Reports are that it's nothing serious, he should be just fine.

That is good. The Twins can use his speed at the top of the lineup.
I guess the "official" report was old.

I heard a rumor that he could conceivably have a concussion. I wouldn't say the Twins are totally in the clear, but in the long run, he'll be fine.
Yeah, I figured he'd end up with a concussion. He took that throw right in the head. And on top of it all, he slid right into the guy's knee too.
