Silva needs to go

This guy isn't going anywhere. He seems lost in his pitches. He has a nice sinkerball but he couldn't get it done. He isn't known for pitching those Ks but did deliver many double plays. He was pitching good his first year with the Twins but has been hogwash ever since. I think he might have lost his confidence in doing his job or so. It's been years since he was that good and why is Gardy giving him some more chances?

Silva will be in the rotation until he either pitches his way out of it, as he did last season, or improves. Presently, the Twins have the luxury of bringing some pitchers along slowly -- Glen Perkins, Kevin Slowey. Both may start the season in AAA, but could be brought up if Silva continues to struggle.

Maybe a trade for Lieber could be had. He's the only one with prior success that's seems to be available this early.

That would shock the world. The Pohlad family is notoriously stingy when going after free agents -- they are bankers and demand a good return on their investments. Last season's signings (Castro, Batista) didn't thrill them at all.

Until the Twins get some guys off IR and a couple of minor league pitchers up doing what they should be, Silva will still be around.

It appears the Chief may have his release point again. His stuff has been pretty good, so far.

Here is my top three Twins Starting Pitchers.

1. Ramon Ortiz (-- big props to a guy that was crushed last season. New team new coaches have turned him around. 3-0 so far this season.

2. Cy tana (-- As good as it gets. Had his first loss at the dome in over a year. Came back next outing and dominated again.

3. Carlos Silva (-- Big props to a guy who struggled most of last season. So far this season has done a stellar job.

Bonser and Ponson need to be sent down to AAA. Slowey needs to be called up. Give the kid a chance.
