    Joe Mauer easily.

Mauer knows how to work well with pitchers.
    He is a great hitter.
He is going to be a leader.

I lost a lot of respect for A.J. He worn out his welcome with his big league attitude and the guy quit when the Twins drafted Mauer. All A.J. did was whine like a little child. Good riddance to him.

AJ was always a favorite of mine when he played for the Twins and I will not boo him even when the White Sox play the Twins. He has settled in nicely solidifying the Chicago team a bit more. Without him, they would not have won their WS. He calls a great game and hits for a bit of power.
Joe Mauer is a better catcher, however. He has a stronger arm, a quicker release and much more speed getting to the ball in front of the plate. Offensively, he has better strike-zone judgement, although AJ used to foul off a lot of pitches waiting for one to drive.
Overall, I would give the nod to Mauer, without any reservations.
