I still believe the Brewers are preparing for next year. But they most definitely have the parts to compete this year. So with each year now, my expectations will rise!!!

I loved it when Carlos Lee was here, but I feel that in the long run we will be better off. We got back quality players in return for two players. But he did hit in the clutch which is what we are missing still in our line-up!

Yes we did get back quality players, but in my mind Suppan isn't worth what we gave him right now...I know he's only started twice but he's blown the games for us...I also know it's a TEAM thing but we had a good lead

well, I am hoping for Suppan to get things turn around and have a strong year to go with his strong second half from last year! He may be a bit over paid. But at least it shows the rest of baseball that the Brewers are starting to pay FA's and make trades. It is not just a minor league team for the big markets anymore!

Well actually the Cards staff is doing ok considering Carpenter is on the shelf and it might be considered a make shift rotation. I don't take anything for granted when it comes to the Cards!

The Ryan Braun countdown should occur soon. It's very clear by now that Counsell isn't your answer at 3b. He is a championship level utility infielder, but his bat is well-below the standard of a power position.

I totally agree with you!! I feel the Brewers should do the same thing that the Royals are doing with Gordon. Just get him in there and let him get his feet wet. In the case of the Brewers though, is that they do have some experience and potentially talented players around him as well!
