The Rangers would probably right up there with the A's if they still had A-Rod, but then again they might not have been able to sign Millwood then or trade for Lee. Plus Kinsler wouldn't have gotten a chance to show his stuff because Young would still be at 2nd. If nothing else, I wish we had kept Soriano and he could have played OF for Texas. I know Soriano liked Texas and didn't really want to leave. As great as he is, and was as a Ranger, I can live without A-Rod.

I agree... Soriano is talented, but a liabilty defensively... Maybe he would have agreed to the OF in Texas... Maybe your ownership will go after him in the off-season. Lee, Matthews and Soriano would be a nice outfield, but just like MIL and about 28 other teams, I think Texas main focus is going to be pitching... starters and bullpen help!

We definately need bullpen help after losing Coco and Corey, but after the signing of Millwood I'm not sure how much more the Rangers will be in the market for a big FA pitcher. If they resign Padilla and Eaton they will have the first 3 spots locked up. Then Tejeda has shown promise this year, so did Loe and Koronka earlier in the year, and Volquez will probably get another shot next year. Danks could be a possibility too. Really the SP catagory in Texas is going to start looking pretty interesting the next couple of seasons.

Hoping Cappy and Sheets guide the Brewers to a sweep today against the Pirates.... We are due to win a road series, a series against Pittsburgh, I would just be happy with a series win!!!

Pitch your butts off Cappy and Sheets!

Well, not a terribly good game for the Brewers, but if you are looking for something positive, how about Prince with 2 doubles and 2 RBI?
Sometimes you gotta take the good where you can.

You guys think Sheets is the crutch that fall off this season for you? In other words, if he were healthy, would we be looking at a different division leader or at least a tighter race?

Considering their current 11.5 game deficit, I don't think a healthy Sheets would have made the difference. The deficit would be smaller but that's about it.

He totally dominated last night though. One run on 2 hits and 10 strikeouts over 8 innings, and no walks allowed. Fielder and Jenkins the offensive heroes with homeruns giving the Brewers a 2-1 victory.

I am hoping for small steps to build on for the future..

Step 1- Win a road series... Learn how to win away from home

Step 2- Finish the season strong, build confidence for next year..

Step 3- Make quality decisions from management...

Hoping Turnbow and Kolb are NOT in the future plans of the Brewers. I actually would like them to trade them if there are any takers!!! At least get some prospects.. Atlanta are you interested? You had Kolb once, you can Turnbow too if you would like!
