    Lowest rated WS ever

The Chicago White Sox's first world championship in 88 years was also the lowest-rated World Series ever. Chicago's four-game sweep of the Houston Astros averaged an 11.1 national rating with a 19 share on Fox. That's down about 7 percent from the previous low, an 11.9 with a 20 share for the 2002 World Series between the Anaheim Angels and the San Francisco Giants.

My question is how do they figure that the 2005 World Series was the lowest-rated? Do they survey anyone who watched the series?

this WS was a let down from the past...it was boring, the pregame shows ruined it for me (the program would start at 6, but the game wouldn't start for another hour) and there just wasn't much hype centered around this one

i found spring training games more exciting then the chisox winning lol
i'm scraped and sober but there's no one listening

I thought the playoffs in general were one of the most boring in recent years. Once Atlanta was out of the picture, I don't think I watched more than 3 innings of baseball. There was nothing to watch for, unless you are a fan of one of the teams playing. There was no suspense, or star power, nothin'.

Last year's WS was pretty boring, but the ALCS more than made up for it. That was very exciting baseball.

Sweeps are always boring unless your a fan of the winning team. Im not a beliver in fans ddnt watch because these teams didnt get enough hype. The 03 and 04 had some of the best playoff baseball in a while. I think there needs to be that excitment to bring in the casual fan.

Well, it was a sweep, with a single game thrown in there that was painfully long to watch even on the West Coast.

The solution is simple. Kill Scooter.

I watched Andy Pettite induce a groundball, and then I changed channels.

its a venezualan thing. cant be any worse than pudge and oogie a coupla years ago.

after killing scooter, then you kill McCarver, trim the pregame to 15 minutes instead of 39 minutes, and play hit Selig in the Head with a Bat during the 7th inning stretch.

That would get me to watch these playoffs, even though they had nothing to offer team matchup wise.

Circular logic aside, Mr Mims, you have yet to provide a single credible reason why you are, in fact, hot.

    White Sox

I really don't care if I was the only person who watched, because I saw one of the best things that will happen to my White Sox in my lifetime, and something I will definitely never forget. So the 05 playoffs didn't have the usual matchups that draw a lot people, shouldn't that make it more interesting to see new teams? If not, then all the Yanks/Sawx rivalry fans can kiss the ring.

This should be the new tradition for EVERY 7th inning stretch!
