    Macha wasn't even a good manager in the first place so I don't see why they even thought of bringing him back period.

    I don't even understand why contract talks ended so abruptly in the first place if it seems now it was so easy to close the financial differences between the team and what Macha wanted.

    This looks so much like something being done for attention.

    Ron Washington must be fairly annoyed now.

    Anyway, Beane, Epstein, Ricciardi, and DePodesta managers are pretty much there to enforce the GM line. They're gone when they think they're important.
