If the Yankees fire him, the Mets will have a new fan. I admire Joe Torre very much, so I couldn't bring myself root for a team that did that to this guy. I know the Yankees have unreasonably high expectations, and a history of mistreatment by the boss, but this is where I will draw the line.

I know Joe Torre won't give a damn if he gets fired. He's got 13 million reasons not to care.

Plus whatever he gets from the next team smart enough to hunt him down.

I think he did a hell of a job patching toghter a pitching staff during the season. I think some key players (A-Job) didnt come through in the post season.

Torre was excellent but this offseason for the Yankees should be dubbed "The Sweet Lou Countdown."

Joe Torre was great this season turning this team around and sticking with Giambi. If anyoen needs to be removed it should be Cashman. I do see Mel leaving but Torre needs to stay. It's not Joe's fault that they had a horrible offseason before the year started.

I generally oppose the hiring of celebrity managers. At least Jim Leyland is off the market and they aren't proposing Dusty Baker.

mel needs to go and cashman probably wont be back. Joe will stay, for about 13 million reasons.

I see Cashman leaving and some of Torres staff leaving. As for Torre, I don't think he should be fired. But most likely I see Steinbrenner cleaning house. Mission brought up an interesting name. Maybe a Lou-Yankees reunion.

Lou Piniella won't do any better than Torre. Piniella couldn't do anything with one of the best teams of all time but he is somehow going to do something great with this team?

it doesn't matter who is manager or GM because George prevents them from doing their jobs. What is the point in hiring someone to do specific jobs if you go against them, don't let them do their job, etc...
