The scouting report I read earlier this summer is that he's below Puig, Abreu, and even Cespedes' class in terms of talent. So it's surprising he got paid that much I think. But not surprising it was Boston, I figure having Cespedes helped. So now, Boston has turned their glaring weakness into a possible strength with the outfield depth they can trot out next season. Cespedes, Castillo, Betts/Holt, and if Bradley ever figures out how to hit enough to match his crazy range in center.. Plus Craig can play the corners if need be and Daniel Nava is around.
So, that means they're going to go ape-shit on pitchers this offseason.
