Betances? I thought he crashed and burned. Is he a reliever now?

i realize the cubs season didnt start til today with baez debuting, so i wont go too crazy on you right now. but yes, hes a reliever. he was also an all star. and pretty much the only thing ive talked about over the last 15 pages of this thread.

joe girardi is a complete dullard. beltran leads off with a single. does not pinch run for him. mccann pops out. does not pinch run for him. headley strikes out. with 2 outs, he then decides to pull beltran... arguably the hottest hitter on the team that isnt a little white guy... for ichiro to pinch run. why? either pinch run with nobody out, or keep beltran in the lineup in a tied game. dolt.

to the shock of no one on the planet, ichiro is up in the 11th. good job joe, sure wouldnt want beltran potentially swinging to end this game on one pitch.

@jonahkeri: Mock all you want, but Adam Dunn has been more effective than Clayton Kershaw tonight. Pro-rate that over an entire season. THINK ABOUT IT

1st pitch called strike at 78mph, I saw a pic that has him throwing 81. So he almost throws as hard as Jered Weaver
