    Buy. Clemens will be the dominating pitcher to anchor the team and thier offense is looking very good recently. I doubt the Nats will contend because they are alreafy starting to slide and the Cubs probably wont be much of a challenge either. If the Astros continue to play as they are, the WC is theirs for the taking.

    I tried hard to sell to Washington, but I couldn't convince myself. Houston has Pettitte/Oswalt/Clemens, all with ERA's under 3... that could very well be the best 1-2-3 punch in baseball, if age doesn't catch up, or if they can stay healthy. Backe was clutch last season in the playoffs, although I don't particularly find him impressive. The hitting is a question, but pitching can carry a team, and I think it can carry Houston.

    Last one: Hideo Nomo was signed by the Yankes to a MLC today, a day after being officially released by the Devil Rays, out of all teams. Buy or sell Nomo making any positive impact in NY, Ghetto.

    sell. 51/59 bb/k, 7.24 ERA and a 1.77 WHIP. 100.2 IP and 127 hits allowed. Yanks are really really really desperate now. The only positive impact he will give in pin stripes is for the other teams, as they'll be hitting off him like crazy

    I'm selling. He hasn't had a winning season since 2003 and they get a guy who's 36 YEARS OLD. It's ironic that the Yankees are doing this and this couldn't have happened to a better team.

    Sell. He had and ERA over 7 in Tampa. In New York he wont make any significant impact. I doubt he stays on the roster the rest of the season.

    I can picture him having one good start, the Yankees looking at him as a savior... like Leiter... and throwing him for a couple starts, only to see him get bombed every single one of those starts. The only way Hideo Nomo can be successful, is if the Yankees score 10 runs in each of his starts. He's done, Yankees are just throwing lives bodies out there til Wang and Pavano are back.

    Two rounds in the books...and here is how they stand:

    Hammer with a simply dominant 24;

    Husker not far behind with 20.

    Guybrush with a healthy 18.

    Ghetto had 16..he gone.

    We go Out of Bounds next.
