    MLB Hellickson, Kimbrel win ROY

    Congrats to Jeremy Hellickson and Craig Kimbrel on winning Rookie of the Year. They just announced it MLB Network so no link available yet. I cannot see anyone having a problem with either player winning the award. Kimbrel set a rookie saves record and Hellickson had a sub-3 ERA with throwing 180 IP.

    I did but I went with a MVP look at Trumbo and not who was the best rookie. The Angels wouldn't have been near contention without him but that's not the way to approach it. I am very surprised he got second place over Hosmer who was also a better rookie.

    I think Trumbo and Hellickson met criteria for both ways of thinking. They each had to fill in for good players (Morales, Garza) and were key to each staying afloat for the season. Tampa just had the fortune of Boston pulling a Titanic
