MLB Texas Rangers vs St. Louis Cardinals: 2011 World Series Thread

This should be a very interesting series with both teams starting pitching do horribly en route to the biggest stage in baseball. Both teams have offense so we should expect a lot more scoring but I do like that the Cards have home field advantage with Carpenter going Game 1. It's not secret I will be routing for the Cards but I also believe they will win this series. Who do you think will win?

I've got texas in 6. With history showing teams that make that late september run and stretch it into the DS and the CS, typically fail in the WS. (see: Colorado Rockies)

I think the cardinals bats (outside of pujoils) will be relagated to silence.

Texas in 6 is my prediction as well. Looking forward to see if a STL starter can get to the 5th before he gets LaRussed. Also looking forward to Dotel blowing a game, it's gonna happen sooner or later, right?

I want STL to win, but I don't think their pitching is going to be able to keep TEX down unfortunately.

Not sure is the Rangers pitchers are going to keep the Cardinals down, either. If Josh Hamilton is healthy, the Rangers should have an advantage.

I hope you're right. The Cardinals will need all the help they can get.

I think the Cards have the advantage facing 3 LH starters so there's another advantage right there.

I always like the road team in the 2-3-2 series format... so hard for the home-field ad team to win... although I think the Cardinals are hotter right now

When are teams going to learn that you can't run on Molina.

Wow, what a play by Carpenter, good thinking by pulling his hand under him.

Boy Napoli crushed the hell out of that ball!! Freese should have a homerun if it wasn't so cold and he now just hit a double in the 6th.

Craig with a huge pinch hit single to put the Cards up 3-2! That's why I love NL baseball!!
