Whatever. I'd feel the same way if the Yankees were in the same position, except Rosevelt Colvin's enraged taunt probably wouldn't work against NY fans.

I just love it because around here the local "experts" (read: homers) were predicting the Sawx would win at least 100 games and the World Series...even before the season started! They had 4 good months (May, June, July, and August) and two shitty months (April and September). You can't play well for 2/3 of the season expect to make the playoffs.

“I’m a firm believer that God has a plan and it wasn’t in his plan for us to move forward. God didn’t have it in the cards for us… For me, I’m a firm believer in God and God has a plan and it wasn’t in God’s plan for us to be in the playoffs.” - Adrian Gonzalez

Just like it was God's plan for LeBron to lose this year's NBA Finals. The Lord is a match fixer.

    He works in mysterious ways...

It's probably not a good idea to tackle him though. I would think that's a sin.

According to Tim Tebow if you don't believe in Christianity you will go to hell. Players should keep religion out of sports they will come across as retards.

Players come off as retards if they suggest that God has a vested interest in which team wins the championship like Adrian did.

The general concept of expressing religious beliefs publicly while being a sports star, however, does not make you come off as a "retard". It just makes you come off as somebody who is devout in his/her religion enough to not hide it.

And the belief that you go to Hell if you don't believe in God or Jesus is universal throughout Christianity. It is one of the core beliefs of the religion. It's not some whacky idea Tim Tebow concocted to scare people into believing the same religion as he does.
