Jason Bay couldn't even finish the season on a lame team. Lame all-around. His skills in the outfield were declining, now they're stuck with a DH in the NL. But it's the mets, and that's just awesome for the rest of us.

Gotta be Lackey. Pretty sure 4.51 ERA and 13-11 record plus the highest WHIP of his career doesn't justify $82 mil. Bay is close but he went to the Mets so it was expected. Then again, they were both pretty much equally overrated.

I have to say Lackey. He was expected to be a 17 plus winner and a guy on the staff that pushed the Red Sox to the stop. He has been a major disappointment.

Lackey was the one to make that Sox pitching staff unbeatable. Instead he made games he started "unwinable."

I would say that Lackey wasn't a bust. You just had too-high expectations. Really, look at what he has actually done. Same with Jason Bay, who's had a concussion.

Figgins actually hit and played defense coming into the year, and that all went away, flopping along with the entire Mariner's organization.

Concussion or not, Bay was only batting .259 with 6 home runs......certainly not helping much even before the injury.

Jason bay had 58 AB/HR compared to a 14.8 AB/HR in '09. That had nothing to do with a concussion. Not to mention he switched to the "easier" league

Exactly why I said both of those guys were overrated haha. Their career numbers aren't as impressive as everyone makes them out to be. Which surprised me a bit because before he went to the Sox I was a huge Lackey supporter.

Yankees really didn't give up much for Vazquez so I can't call that a bust. I'm really surprised no one has voted for Ben Sheets.

Vazquez also wasn't a free agent.. it was a trade. But I would certainly put him in the mix for bust period, the Yankees were stupid enough to bring him back for another go-around. Same for Burnett (woohoo!)
