    Boone's future?

Which team would be best off for Bret Boone?
    Marshall: MILSWANCAs?

Whoever is contending, I guess. I've heard rumors that he may land in San Diego and that wouldn't help his hitting since Petco is a pitchers ball park.

He really wouldn't help many teams at this point.

I saw the Twins may be after Boone. The guy can still play. And the metrodome I think would be a good fit for him.

Boone's value was in his power, and his bat has slowed to where that's not very valuable anymore. Considering the Metrodome kills homers, Boone would not be a good fit there. He should retire, and be happy with the very good career that he's had, because he cannot play at much better than replacement level now.

I don't think so, mntwinsfan. The guy's bat speed has gone down big time and I just don't think he has power anymore.

Saber is right about Bret retiring.

Why not take a chance on a vetran in Boone? Steak I do believe the Twins should take a shot on him. He would be better than what we have now at 2nd.

Maybe Boone should try going back on the roids.

Why would the Yankees sign Bret Boone when we have a much better (22 year old) player occupying 2B in Robinson Cano? Maybe as a utility guy... but that would only be for his glove...

Boone's best asset has always been his defense. Boone and Khalil Green would be a lot of fun to see playing up the middle but I don't see them getting Boone as a short term replacement for Loretta. No difference in him and Mark Bellhorn right now. I could see Boston showing interest. Give the M's Jat Payton or some shit

Dodgers could take the risk, their offense is suffering so it's not like it could get any worse. Kent can slide over to 1B cause it's not like Choi is taking the world by storm.

Boone is a solid fielder who still swings a decent bat. He also is a leader and has playoff experience. Everything that the Twins are looking for.

Boone is a very talented player, and I will think a lot of teams would want him. I would says the New York Yankees or the Minniesota Twins, but I think the San Diego Padres will have him in the end.
