    Truly incredible.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

Nope, no Jon Garland. Not after his 4.90 ERA showing last year.

Yeah, but he's only 29....I'd trust him more than Pettite.

Not on a one year deal. Garland has never been that good and doesn't strike too many out. Plus Pettitte's a lefty and its my team

Haha, all true. But you already have Wolf and Perez as lefties, you don't need TOO many lefties.

Three lefties isn't too many. My Giants are hoping to contend with three

I'm just saying, you can argue Garland's lack of worth(despite his consistency being better than Pettite's), but I wouldn't base my decision on Pettite being a lefty when you already have 2. It's not like you NEED a lefty....

I am basing it on Pettitte, despite his old age, being better than Garland.

    Re: My All Unemployed Team

    Over the last 3 years:

    Pettitte - 633 IP, ERA's of 4.20, 4.04, and 4.55
    Garland - 602 IP, 4.51, 4.23, and 4.90

How can you say Garland is more consistent than Pettitte?

Fewer walks, lower WHIP, younger, less likely to fall apart.

More likely to lose a ballgame.

    Re: My All Unemployed Team

That's debateable. Is he less likely to win a game? Maybe. More likely to lose? I'm not sure.
