I am going to buy my brothers and sister presents right now!! Looks like a pretty damning book from Mark's brother. No wonder McGwire refused to appear at the Cardinals Spring Training camp. McGwire seems like an intelligent guy and if he came out and just admitted use in the right way, I am sure most people will forgive him. More importantly, the baseball writers.

exactly. Look at Pettitte. People almost forgot he used HGH. I mean, granted it was only in injury rehab, but he still used it. And people don't even talk about it anymore.

I have no problem whatsoever with people that use HGH for injury rehab. Rick Ankeil did the same thing, under a Drs' care and has made a very nice comeback.
Use of substances like these for specific reasons is OK. General use without medical reasons is not.

I agree with that. If a player needs to use something like HGH to recover from an injury, they need to be under strict care by a doctor. I'd actually say that, to make everything appear fair, that MLB should contract their own doctors to oversee the players' rehab to make sure that they are taking the right amount and not taking more than needed.

It's those that abuse the drugs that cause the problems, and will certainly make it more difficult, or impossible, for a player in the future to benefit from using it correctly.

Giambi admitted his guilt under the the biggest media eye in NY and he was forgiven. Sure, he didn;t say why he was guilty but we all know what he was saying.
