Howard already holds the single-season strikeout record with 199, from two years ago. No player has ever struck out 200 times in a season, but after tonight's game, Howard has 188 strikeouts and given where the Phillies are in the standings, you'd have to think he's not going to get benched anytime soon. Where was Pujols better?? BA, OBP, OPS, walked 92 times and only struck out 58 times, better base runner, better defender, doubles, Runs, SB, and didn't have Utley, Rollins and Burrell. Plus Pujols hit .397 w/RISP to Howard's .256!! You replace Howard with Pujols in that Phillies lineup and you;re looking at a WS. Oh wait, Pujols got that anyway!!! Thank you, come again!
