I actually liked Anwar too. He screwed himself up with a couple of bad performances, but he was a voice teacher and I liked his voice.

Anyway, that decision by Francona sounds like something that would be made by the Reds.

Bart: Thanks, Dad. But part of this D-minus belongs to God.

Keeping Renteria is the two-slot is as stupid if not worse too.

Oh, and I've said to many times before, but the Carpenter signing was a GREAT one by Jocketty. What a move.

    Tek K's.

Heh, just got an e-mail from someone interested in Figgins in one of my leagues. What kind of player would you require for Figgins in standard public H2H settings (I have only two other guys who can steal any bases, and Figgins plays 4 positions). I know he has Lowell and Harden on his roster, but what kind of guys would you look for?

Then out of fairness to the others you will be Slagathor.

Anwar was too boring for my tastes, of course, so was Carrie and she won.

Renteria in the two slot v. RHP is horrible when Nixon could be there.

Either one of those two would be steals for Figgins.

BTW, in that same league, I have an open space due to a DL addition, and there are a few nice players on the DL? Should I grab any of the following or a mediocre FA?

    Javy Lopez
    Jose Vidro
    Jeff Bagwell
    Magglio Ordonez
    Luis Matos
    Rocco Baldelli

FWIW, the best SPs available are guys like Victor Santos, Jeff Weaver, John Patterson, etc.

Good to see Miley isn't the only one who makes these odd choices, lol.

Anyway, yeah, he may have seemed boring, and Carrie do, but I wouldn't mind going out with her. She seems to have very high morals(which I like) and seems like a sweet girl.

FWIW, if I did make a trade with Figgins, I'd grab Nook Logan or Craig Counsell off of FA/Waivers to get back some SBs.

Damn, I wish he had a midlevel closer on his roster so I could try Figgins for Harden and a closer. He has two good ones and the rest are filler (Reitsma) or unknowns (Affeldt). I'll give out the roster here and see if you guys can come up with anything in my next post.

I would take Vidro/Santos of those you listed(at this point in time during the year/their careers).

Looks like the Yankees will finally win one, but you have to wonder if this bad strech will cost people jobs. RLA wrote a good piece about Torre likely losing his job.

I need another closer, although replacing a guy like Brown with a guy like Harden would help that rotation. I'm in first right now by .5 games, he's in 8th out of 12.

She isn't that bad looking either.
