What is Ichiro and Vlad doing that warrants an all-star nod? Of course, what is Griffey doing that deserves an all-star nod?

Just hope that if the voting remains at this pace, the right players are picked as reserves.

    Ichiro - Being Japanese
Vlad - Being a former winner
Griffey - Being a big name
The fans - being ****ing morons who should not be allowed to go near an All-Star ballot

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

Bengie Molina is giving Soto a run for his money. Molina is definitely an All Star.

I think you might have misread it as Y- Molina, instead of Bengie. Because Bengies is not even in the top 5! ****ing bullshit.

if you mean Yadier Molina, Soto is having a much better year than Molina (Soto is pretty much on par with McCann for best (offensive) catcher in the NL)

No, I do not mean Yadier Molina. I meant Bengie and Bengie is on par for best offensive catcher in the NL. He has the best BA and tied for the most RBI. Plus you just can't strike the guy out. He should be getting the most votes but since he plays on a shitty team he won't.

I'm just guessing that because he said Bengie Molina he meant Bengie Molina.

If he really meant Bengie and not Yadier, then why would he say that Bengie is giving Soto a "run for his money". Bengie is nowhere to be found in the voting totals at catcher, while Yadier is 3rd at the moment.

Even Brian McCann isn't giving Soto a fight, he's almost 120,000 votes behind.

probably the 3rd best. about 13 points behind in OPS+.

He should be giving him a run for his money. I didn;t even look at the All Star voting until after I wrote that. That Towles has more votes than Bengie is criminal. Bengie should at least be top two based on performance. Bengie has been great on both sides of the plate and would definitely take him over Soto.

i think soto is just fine behind the plate. considering that the cubs team ERA+ is 28 points higher than the giants. Soto clearly deserves to be above molina in being the allstar game. Given that there is still a month to go, at any rate.

Clearly? I don't see how he clearly deserves it more than Molina. Soto plays for a much better team. Molina has a better average by 24 points, tied in RBI and throws runners out at a better rate. Right now I would take Molina over McCann and Soto right now. But of course I'm a Giants fan and you are a Cubs fan so we don;t see eye to eye. If anything, its a wash but I would take Molina and think he is more deserving given the teasm they play for.
