I call bullshit.
Right. Let's see if there All Star CIFs can ever produce. Lets see if Bedard can win. Let's see if King Felix can remain consistent.
Also, FTR, Mel Stottlemyre isn't that great of a pitching coach
OK, Yankees 4th is ludicrous. They have a Top 5 lineup in baseball, and if you're banking on the Rotation of : Wang, Pettite, Mussina, Kennedy and Hughes doing worse than the Jays and Rays, you're crazy.
The NL West is a bunch of inconsistent teams with really good pitching. Look at the DRays and DBacks...sparing the fact that Haren and Webb are sick, don't the teams look eerily similar?
maybe Longoria will be the Ryan Braun story of '08! who knows.
NL West:
1) D-bags
2) Rockies
3) Dodgers
4) Padres
5) Las Vegas 51's
6) Giants
Jays' rotation > Yankees' rotation
no lie, no bias, just truth (you have to believe me I'm Canadian, I can't lie, but DK an exception)

Halladay, I agree with you. On paper they may have better pitching, but the BIG question is, can the Jays pitchers stay healthy this season?
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.
Ah, give me something clever to say here.
don't forget about B. J. Ryan either.
I'm talking about starting rotation, not overall pitching, so I didn't include Ryan.

ah, fair enough.
Jays have their own young guys, McGowan, Marcum and Litsch (looks to be the 5th starter now)
Halladay had a healthy season last year and most of his injuries were freak ones, still pitched over 220 Innings in the last two seasons with 16 wins in each.
Burnett I can't argue, he is the wild card of the whole bunch, but with McGowan around he may pass Burnett as the no. 2 starter this season.

Let's break it down.
Halladay (healthy) > Wang, but I mean, 19 wins to 19 wins is essentially a wash. Same on ERA. Still, Halladay
Pettite> Burnett, Burnett has never won more than 12 games, and hell, he hasn't started more than 25 on the Jays
Hughes = McGowan, They have essentially the same makeup as of now, but I'm about 100% poisitve Hughes WILL be better.
Mussina = Marcum, Sorry Man, Marcum is going to be really good, but Moose had a terrible year last year. If you take the rookie over the veteran in this instance, it is a stretch. No way Moose is as bad this year...plus Marcum is hurt anyway.
Litsch = Kennedy they're both unproven blue chip specs...Litsch was not impressing me last year, but Kennedy is too much of an unknown.
I give it to the Yankees because the margin of Pettite to Burnett is much larger than Hallady to Wang in terms of numbers.
Factor in bullpen and hitting, and the insinuation on paper that the Jays are better is RIDICULOUS.
Still, we're better. I mean, I'm not picking a fight, but compare lineups...and bullpens.
I don't give a shit about the Jays on paper, but I've been hearing about them rising up to challenge the Yankees and Red Sox in the AL East for the last 7 years. Well when is this going to happen??
