    Guillen To Face Suspension?

The MLBPA is negotiating with MLB officials on a possible 10- to 15-day suspension for Jose Guillen for his reported involvement in the purchase of steroids and human growth hormone, sources told ESPN's Buster Olney.
Guillen, whose three-year deal with the Royals still isn't official, apparently is admitting to some wrongdoing. "We told the commissioner's office my version of this whole affair, which in some ways has been handled with some errors in the media," Guillen told ESPNdeportes.com when asked about the situation. The San Francisco Chronicle reported last month that Guillen bought nearly $20,000 worth of steroids and human growth hormone from 2003 through 2005.
The Royals knew this could be a risk. Now would be a good time to try and drop that ridiculous price they have given him.

The suspension should be a lot longer than that...

That's why it says "negotiating". Guillen might have given some information or just came with the truth and will get a lighter sentence.

I wouldn't be worried at all about a 10-15 day suspension if I were Kansas City.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

MLB suspended outfielder Jose Guillen 15 days for violation of Major League Baseball's Joint Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.

MLB suspended outfielder Jay Gibbons 15 days for violation of Major League Baseball's Joint Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.
I guess since they didn't test positive or weren't caught in the act they received lesser sentences.

'Insufficient evidence' on Glaus - Sportsnet.ca

Toronto Blue Jays third baseman Troy Glaus, Gary Matthews Jr., Rick Ankiel and Scott Schoeneweis have also been linked but baseball decided there was "insufficient evidence" to determine they committed a doping violation.
