Do you guys think this will just be a typical athletes time spent behind bars? I mean every time an athlete gets in trouble with the law he just gets a little slap on the wrist and then hes fine to go...*cough cough* Kobe. Now, Vick will be a different story...It just seems like athletes get let off the hook though.

no, he will pretty much get what most people get when hit with this type of charge (and the quantity of charges). If convicted (which may be tough in San Fran) he'd likely get anywhere between 8 months and 5 years. And he'd be sentenced to a low or medium security fed prison, which is a lot better than the high security or supermax.

Barry Bonds pleaded not guilty Friday to four counts of perjury and one of obstruction of justice.
Bonds was in court for the first time since his Nov. 15 indictment. If he's convicted of all five charges brought against him, he could spend more than two years in prison.

I really don't see him doing any time or being convicted. A's are still interested in signing Bonds after all this.
