Andrew Jones's Value

What do you think Andrew Jones value will be in The free agent market after having such a terrable year and also having tori hunter in the class as well

First off, somebody should move this to the MLB forum.

Second off, Jones suffered a big cash hit if you ask me, but some sucker team will still give him a long deal. As for Hunter, expect a mega deal for him, maybe about 6 years or so with $14ish mil a year. His value has greatly improved on offense and his defense is second to none.

I think the Braves will be smart and not resign him even if he gives them a team discount. Rowand would be the way to go. He plays better defense and is starting to come into his prime. If Teixeira does well in 08, you can resign him. I say Jones is fourth on the FA CFer chart behind Ichiro, Hunter Rowand and possibly Cameron but let's say not.

That might be sure with hitting for this year but Jones is a much better fielder than Rowand for sure. I don't watch the rest of them play but Rowand might be good but Jones is still better.

Sorry but Jones is no longer better than a lot of people in CF. His range has fallen off terribly. Rowand covers a lot more ground and isn't afriad to run into walls.

Rowand covers more ground than him too. They were great CFers but are now declining. Rowand is in his prime.
