    Brandon Webb's streak

    How long?

Brandon Webb extended his scoreless streak to 42 innings by throwing a complete game shutout against the Braves on Friday.
Webb gave up just three baserunners while striking out six. He's just the 21st pitcher ever to go even 40 straight innings without allowing a run. Webb still has at least two starts to go before matching Orel Hershiser's record of 59 set back in 1988, but no player besides Webb has come closer in the 18 seasons since. He'll try and extend the streak when the Diamondbacks face the Brewers next week. Aug. 17 - 10:09 pm et

    Re: Brandon Webb's streak

How ever long it lasts it is a great achievement in this era of baseball. He is proving why he is a Cy Young pitcher.
