I'm very disappointed Posey didn't win this award. Other than that, a lot better than the GG's.

What? Nobody from the vaunted Padres offense got one?

    Broken link

Also, agree, well done Silver Slugger awards. SS was a very weak position this year in both leagues.

I d still think both Ramirez and Tulo had great offensive years. I also agree that Posey should have been given some more love for this award as he put up huge numbers from the end of May to the end of the season.

Tulowitzki didn't have a weak year, and that was still with significant time missed.

    Re: Silver Slugger time

What is the finite criteria to win a silver slugger? Most homeruns and RBI at a position? Cause Posey had a better OPS, average, and nearly as many HR and RBI in 30 some fewer games..

    The
MLB Channel commentators said the coaches and managers vote by what they remember of how a player does against there team during the season. I find this to be a bit ridiculous , but who knows.

If that is true, the Dodgers should be stuffing the ballot for Carlos Ruiz.

Nice to see so many first-time winners of the award. Guys like Pujols and Guerrero will win almost every year.
I'm surprised Jeter didn't win this one, too.

Jeter should have won it for every position.
