I think it's Hudson, although Cordero has been masterful as close. Hudson has a 1.4 ERA in 45 innings, and while he has been lucky, that's still 45 innings of great performance.

Then out of fairness to the others you will be Slagathor.
I throw my bid in for Cordero. Not only because he's an ex-Ranger, but because he had an unbelievably dominating month by closer standards.
We miss you Coco.

"For someone who was never meant for this world, I must confess I'm suddenly having a hard time leaving it. Of course, they say every atom in our bodies was once part of a star. Maybe I'm not leaving... maybe I'm going home."
Tim Hudson has been just dominant, but Rich Hill and John Maine deserve special mention too.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.
Ah, give me something clever to say here.
Im going to go with Matt Cain here.
sure he has a higher era than Maine and Hudson but....
12 H allowed in 35 IP.....Thats f***in insane.

Wait...12 hits in 35 IP?
Wow, this man deserves some serious recognition.

Well, I like the Cordero (MIL) pick, but heck I am going with Capuano. Got to start giving some props to my beloved Brewers!!!
Honorable Mention--Rich Hill (CHI-NL); where would the Cubs be without him? ANd remember, I despise the Cubs, so it is torture for me to admit this!
I was going to go with Cain but didn't want to be such a homer in the N.L. He has had no-hit stuff every time he has taken the mound. Too bad the Giants aren't getting him the W's.
A lot of projections I was reading predicted Cain to regress, sophomore slump or whatever... with the stuff he gets over the plate and his makeup as a pitcher, I still don't get how some were thinking that. Of course this is unexpected too, but still an excellent fantasy steal for many. His stats are just so odd though, completely dominating ERA of course, the strikeout ratio isn't all that high though and 23 punchouts to 17 walks makes it even more surprising that with all those walks he hasn't been damaged a bit more. But regardless of that allowing opposing hitters to hit .109 off of him probably is a bit of a counter-balance, ha.

Cordero; his DIPS is No. 10 in MLB.
Hudson is at No. 83, and even though he's a starter, I feel hard pressed to give him the award with that ranking so far.
Cain is in a worse situation with the No. 251 DIPS ERA (4.49).
The Simpson family gathers around, as Homer places Bart's passed test on the fridge.)
Homer: We're proud of you, boy.
Bart: Thanks, Dad. But part of this D-minus belongs to God.
There is nothing wrong with giving your team some props! Cain is legit, and deserves recognition as much as anyone, don't feel like a homer, be proud of your player!!

Rich Hill. He's just been so filthy, and given basically 7 solid innings each time out.
HM: Matt Cain. Oh god.
