I wouldn't care if Bonds never came back. Good riddance.
I will be one of the people who will forever see the * beside his home run record, as well as McGwire and Sosa. The black eyes of the MLB.

I never found Bonds all that entertaining, really. I'm not fascinated by him.

You are not the only one. bonds has embarrassed baseball. The commissioner has let it happen, all the while sniveling to congress, how tough he is on drugs.

In 2002, Bonds averaged a homerun every 12 swings. Not AB's but swings. If you are not fascinated by that then you got some issues.

What someone accomplished via chemically enhancing their body and cheating does not fascinate me and many others. What fascinates me is the general acceptance by some.

Roids don't do what he did. You can think what you want about asterisks and what not but you cannot deny his greatness. No one can do what Barry has done. No one has the patience and no one knows the strike zone better than Barry. All the performance enhancers inthe world don't do that for you. Anyone who has actually played the game would know that. Besides no one knows who is innocent and who is guilty so don't try and do that for people.

I'd love to see him not come back. I hate his guts.

    Precisely.

Had he done this without steroids, of COURSE I would be very impressed, how could I not be?

The fact that he enhanced himself simply ruins it for me.
I'd prefer to watch a player like Larry Walker, personally.

It's a fact now? Funny since there is no proof.

There is no proof, only to those unwilling to see.

And when he is able to pass a drug screen, he will return to baseball, and not a second before. Then, when tested, he will claim, "see, I told you I wasn't on anything".

Giants fans are in such denial about Barry. There's the same lack of "proof" with Jason Giambi, but Yankee fans are smart enough to connect the dots. Jason came clean (the best he could while still under a federal investigation) and Barry has been a prick all along. Why defend this guy?
