15 minutes of fame? Rickey had a lot more than 15 minutes...he's one of the greatest players to ever play the game! He's played more years in the major leagues than some of you have lived! Show some respect...if he wants to keep playing baseball, who are we to say he can't?

We are fans who are tired of seeing him struggle. We want to see him go in the Hall. There is nothing more Rickey can do. I am not worried too much because I seriously doubt he will be in the Majors one game. Need a pinch runner? Go to your minor league system and find one. Sorry Rickey but you hung on too long now just stay away.

I agree with reefer with this one. Its like when Jordan came back the 2nd time, what left does he have to prove. Nothing, why stay? Hes a 1st ballot hall of famer with the #'s hes got now.

Franco's 47. How old is Rickey? I thought he was 45, but I am not certain.

I am impressed with what Franco has done at his age. He continues to hit the ball well for Atlanta. It's a credit to his work ethic and his committment to the game.

As for Rickey, he is 47 years old too.

I'm kinda torn on this one. I don't want people to remember him as an old player who just tried to hang on, he was much greater than that. But on the other hand, if the man still wants to play and any team, even in the Independant League, wants him to play than let him.
