Intresting Article on the Yank's Issues.

    Full Story

This is a 4 page article that went in depth to the problems that the Yanks have made in the past 6 years. Its a very good article. I cant believe that the Boss wanted Sheff that badly to tell Cash stop negotiations with Vlad. Damn.

Joel Sherman even took it further today in a great piece for the NY Post. He talked about how there is a difference of opinions between the NY front office of the Yankees front office and the Tampa group of the Yankees front office and how it has had an effect on the team in recent years.

Great read. Thanks for the link Porter.

I have to say, I found this part about Game 6 of the ALCS very weird to say the least:

Steinbrenner, watching in his office, called in administrators to ask how many ball-and-strike calls home plate umpire Joe West had missed with the Yankees' hitters at the plate (the Yankees, unlike other organizations, habitually charted this kind of thing). When their answers didn't satisfy him, he snapped, "That's wrong, you're all on the bubble," and having issued this customary threat to dismiss them, he sent them out. Minutes later, he called them back to ask how many pitches West had missed with Red Sox batters at the plate. Again, he didn't like their answers: "You're on the bubble!"
Documenting missed balls and strikes? What the hell?

Its Georgie Moneybags, I quit trying to figure him out a long time ago. When he is on the job he is on his own little planet.

"Oh, don't mind me, I'm rebuilding now" then you win at least 80 games
