Eckstein does it again!
He was a brilliant addition as soon as he joined the team.

The Simpson family gathers around, as Homer places Bart's passed test on the fridge.)
Homer: We're proud of you, boy.
Bart: Thanks, Dad. But part of this D-minus belongs to God.
And the Cards lead the World Series 3 games to 1!!!

Not many people seen this coming thats for sure. Everyones underestimated the Cardinals all through out the playoffs. Maybe not the opposing teams but the general public and media.

Im not the Genius that traded for Brandon McCarthy. And my name is certainly not John Gibbons...
The season means very little come October as teams like the Marlins and Angels proved (and now, maybe the Cardinals.) That Granderson attempt though on the Eckstein hit, wow. We're talking about less then a half second of difference in him getting his jump on the ball with making a fantastic catch to end the threat instead of the go-ahead run for the Cardinals. I caught it while finishing up some homework and even though I've mentioned this several times, I just love the super slow motion replays, it's really help to make the playoffs even more dynamic.
Dream Weaver and Verlander set to go. I wonder if Weaver will let his emotions get to him if he felt at all hurt over being traded a few seasons back from the organization that drafted him and gave him the first round pick treatment to the Yankees. I don't know either way, but it's something that could come into play with him playing the role of executioner for the Tigers.

It's too bad that the Tigers can't turn any plays on defense. Granderson coming up short, Monroe with a good effort but off his glove, not to mention none of the Tigers pitchers seem to be able to field/throw the ball, Zumaya, Rodney, etc. Pretty sad.
I'm so glad that little bastard David Eckstein is in the NL as he did that chiat to the A's for years. Dude can be a very tough out.
Hate to say it, but Eckstein put in an WS MVP like performance last night.
Lets see what he does in game 5 first.
