    Buck O'Neil Dead at 94

Not really sure where to post this, so I'll put it here.
Buck O'Neil, former manager of the Kansas City Monarchs, 1st Black coach in the major leagues, and star of Ken Burns' series "Baseball" died on Friday in a Kansas City Hospital.
    Here is a story:

Now for a personal rememberance of this man. My wife and I bought his book "I was Right on Time" and had him sign it in Kansas City several years ago. We also met him, and talked to him, several times at the Negro League Museum in KC (www.nlbm.com). He was always very gracious and accomodating.
Humanity, not just baseball, lost a true champion today.
May you rest in peace, Buck.

Sad stuff, but he was 94 years old, so he was running on fumes.

One vote shy from making the Hall of Fame,

RIP Buck. I knida hated how everyone sang his praises, from what the Negro League accouts say, he was a journeyman 1B.

He shouldn't make the HOF as a player, but make it like Rube Foster did instead.
