Smoltz has a sick post-season record.

Maddux in his prime wasn't clutch in the postseason. Smoltz was the only Braves ace who didn't choke in the playoffs. I would put Rivera and Schilling 1-2 atop the list.

Charley Radbourn...3 CG shutouts in the 1st WS...after winning 59 games with 73 CGs and 441 K's in 1884...'nuff said

I dunno, Maddux wasn't terrible, exactly. 3.22 career post-season ERA.

Its the offense that always choked for the Braves in the playoffs.

Any love for Francisco Cordero? lol just kidding...

Even as a Yankee hater, Mo is still the guy I'd fear the most facing in a clutch situation.

OMG I almost forgot, El Duque was the ****ing man, him and David Cone made me proud to be a Yankee Fan, especially in the postseason.

Both Hernandez's are pretty stout in the postseason.
And it's saying something when you take down the Rocket and the Evil Empire in the World Series, so a nod to Beckett.

This is a list of big names but not big production(except Rivera). rivera is far and away the best clutch pitcher and after him I'd say Schilling is up there but Santana? Nope, he's been spotty in 3 postseasons, Clemens? nope, had a great '00 postseason(LCS and WS) and some other great moments w/ the yanks but overall not nearly as great in postseason as a schilling. Pedro? had a great LCS and LDS in '99 but since then has been very spotty(he ranks behind clemens) and Maddux? an 11-14 postseason record tells me no. The clutch guy on that staff was Smolts who I would rank up there w/ Mo and Schilling.

Stew was a great postseason pitcher, Gibson wasa great postseason pitcher but Eck? Nope, a 5.79 WS ERa and 3.00 ERA overall in postseason.

sandy koufax is up there w/ Gibson( I think slightly ahead of Gibson).

Pettitte was hit or miss, either he'd throw a gem(such as game 5 of the '96 WS) or be bombed(such as Game 1 of the '96 WS).

Johnson is great AFTER the LDS, outside of the '95 ALDS against us he has ben bad in the LDS but great in LCS and WS play.

Wetteland was brutal for us in '95(if he was decent we would have beaten Seattle) and although WS MVP in '96 he wasn't great in the LCS and his postseason ERA is 4.82.
