    Twins Morneau For MVP

I know most of you are going to dismiss this right away but this guy deserves a lot of consideration and is my pick for MVP right now. He is hitting .317 with 31 HRs and 108 RBI and plays a good firstbase. He is the first Twin to hit 30+ homeruns since 1987 and has been the key to this offense. Most of you are going to blow Ortiz so much its crazy but this guy has no protection in the lineup unlike Ortiz or even Dye who should also be mentioned. My vote goes with Morneau because he is a TRUE MVP!

If the Twins win the wildcard and Boston doesn't make the playoffs, I think he has to be the MVP.

Uh, he's not even going to win the team MVP.

Morneau isn't even the most deserving player in his division. For proof of this, see: Jermaine Dye.

I feel the way Witlon does, but about Mauer. C'mon. He's amazing. If he doesn't win the batting title, however, Morneau is definetly Top 3.

He is definitely having that kind of year, special. He is in the runnig... Better hope the media jump off Jeter's bandwagon first... That's all they are talking about out East, Jeter and then Ortiz (2nd).

Top 3? Who among David Ortiz, Jermaine Dye, Manny Ramirez, Travis Hafner, and Jim Thome would you put Morneau ahead of?

I feel that Twins fans should be pushing Mauer just as much... Not only hitting the cover off the baseball, he also anchors one of the best pitching staffs in all of baseball...

He should lose no more than Ortiz does to Manny. Of course with the writers voting, that's not the way it'll work.

Not that I am sticking up for the writers/media/east coast bias stuff, but they could possibly say the same about Morneau, he has Mauer on his team... I know it is a little bit different, but just a thought... I still dont think Mauer should be eliminated from consideration... I mean, if the media likes Jeter so much, cause the Yankees have had so many injuries. My arguement for Mauer is that he is in MN, not as much revenue (DUH) so they cant afford to go out and get help quite as easily.. I really think Mauer carried the Twins quite a bit in the beginning of the year when the Twins were struggling, and again he calls the game and handles their AWESOME staff. I would argue in the Twins favor that they have one of the best, if not the best, pitching staffs in all of baseball, and just think if Lariano was still healthy.. That holds a lot in my book, INTANGIBLES, just like Jeter.. Just an opinion, thought to throw into the mix...

    Think about it.
