Barajas Now A Dodger

Dodgers claimed C Rod Barajas off waivers from the Mets.
The Mets will just let the Dodgers pay Barajas' remaining salary and not receive anything in return. With Russell Martin out for the year, the Dodgers were looking for help behind the plate, and Barajas, who is hitting .225 with 12 home runs this season, should be their regular down the stretch, with Brad Ausmus returning to a backup role. Josh Thole will now officially become the everyday catcher for the Mets.

Looks like the Dodgers might have found their catcher for next year too because I don't see the Dodgers paying Martin next year. Most likely he will be non-tendered. Dodgers aren't giving up just yet.

The same organization that never gave Pedro Martinez and Roberto Clemente much of a chance and passed up on Vladimir Guerrero by the same token has hung way too long to stiffs such as Garrett Anderson, Charlie Haeger, Ramon and Russ Ortiz, Jack Trashner, and now Rod Barajas. Ain't that a b.itch.
