    Angels They're Baaaack

AL West fans beware, the Angels are getting their rotation back. Ervin Santana was activated today and John Lackey should be activated later this weekend. Angels sit just 1.5 games behind the Texas Rangers so it shouldn't take that much time to claim what is theirs and that is the top spot in the AL West. This will be a huge shot in the arm for this club since its like getting two new players. Rangers and M's had their fun but now its time to get back to reality.

In other news, the Angels are close to signing Rudt Seanez to a minor league deal to help that horrible bullpen. Angels bullpen owns a 6.90 ERA so they need all the help they can get.

A good rotation can help that.

Their rotation, even without their big guns, hasn't been all that bad to begin with.

Not a lot of quality starts though. That is what helps a bullpen stay fresh.

True. The pen should get better, but they're still horrible.

Dude, Rudy Seanez is on the way Maybe some of these starters can go to the pen and help out. I think Shields needs some time on the DL with is bad knee.

Their lineup will fall apart once Torii Hunter falls back to earth, they don't have the big bat in the middle, Vlad is just done.

Santana had a shaky first outing but did well considering his first game back was against the Angels. 5 IP and 3 ERs with 5 K's is a decent job. Shields had his second blown save and still think when Lackey comes back that he needs to go to the DL.

Lackey ejected after 2 pitches. Threw behind Kinsler on the first pitch and then plunked him with his second pitch.

    Nice comeback.

a little more than plunk there. what a douche. did you see Scioscia? He was actually arguing about it. I swear that guy loves to argue and whine.

The last time Lackey faced the Rangers he got lit up. He gave up 10 earned runs.

The Angels bullpen is worse than Seattle's which is saying something right now.

If Vlad is done then Ortiz should retire effective immediately.

You don't hit a guy for a game that was 8 months ago. You don't hit a guy for hitting 2 homers in the game before. That just doesn't happen in the MLB. This was just plain rustiness, and nothing more. That's why Scoscia and Lackey were both shocked, as were the broadcasters of the game both on TV and on the radio, that he was tossed.

Just a stupid, horrible reaction by Bill Davidson that should never have happened. Now you screw over the Angels bullpen not only for today but for the next week or two.
