Angels agree to 4-year deal with Justin Speier

ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) -- The Los Angeles Angels agreed to terms on a four-year contract with free agent pitcher Justin Speier, who will work out of the bullpen.

The deal is contingent on the right-hander passing a physical, the team said Sunday.

Speier spent last season with Toronto, where he had a 2-0 record with a 2.98 ERA in 58 games. He allowed 47 hits, walked 21 and struck out 55.
The 2-year deal with Hector Carrasco paid off for the first year. But a 4-year deal with Justin Speier??

Yeah, but he's one of those beastly regular season relievers...I like it.
